I want to be extremely thin.

Problem : i'm not very skinny. Im niether fat nor thin. But i want to be really thin. Although i know they are really not the right ways to get there, but i often starve myself and if i eat, i throw up. i know its just not good. im not a compulsive bulumic person but i do throw up at times.

Then at times i have these urges to eat alot and not care about the calorie intake.

How should i detach myself from such unnatural patterns and also in the process get extremely thin ?

What you want to do is not possible.

Your desire to be "extremely thin" and your behavior in attempting to do so is the beginnings of an eating disorder.

You need to make an appointment with your physician and tell him or her what you have been doing. Ask for a referral to a counselor who specializes in helping people with eating disorders and then make an appointment as soon as possible.

You need to nip this in the bud before your desire to be "extremely thin" gets you to be extremely dead.

Sukanya,  Is there any important reason WHY you want to be extremely thin?  Why would you want to look anorexic and look like a skeleton?  That is not attractive at all.  Extremely thin is a big turn off for men.  You will look sickly all the time.  In fact, you can give yourself a heart attack if you don't eat.  Plus the stomach acid from your throwing up is going to burn the lining of your esophagus and you will need a permanent feeding tube if you cannot swallow on your own.  Think long and hard why you would want to do this to yourself.  Jkgrandma is absolutely right.  Find a good counselor who can help you work through all of this.

Eat a well balanced diet and get plenty of exercise.  That will get you to where your body should be ~ fit and healthy.  Everyone is lazy ~ wants to pop pills, throw up, do strange diets, but the truth is, the only way to lose weight and keep it off and be healthy is to eat smart and exercise 3 - 5 times a week. 

You may not realize this, but you are beautiful exactly the way you are right now.   The people who love you, the people that are good for you, always see how very beaiutiful you are.  Those are the people you want in your life.  Anyone that thinks you are not perfect the way you are is a person not worth bothering with.  Just be healthy, Sweetie.  Be healthy in body and mind.  And take JKGrandma's advice and see someone about those destructive thoughts you have about yourself.  When you say that you want to be extremely thin, what you are really saying is "I want to kill myself."  Get some help soon.

Sukanya, you have received great advice from JKGrandma, Anna, and Skitch.  What you are doing is extremely dangerous and could end up leaving you with major health problems that could last your lifetime, or as was said above, death. Being thin is not everything.  Being happy and healthy is, and obsessing about your weight will not help you achieve anything but constant worry and grief.  IT'S NOT WORTH IT!  Please read all these posts over again and really give some thought to what might lie in store for you if you continue on the path you are on.  Please talk to your doctor or a counseler who can find out why you have these feelings and can help you deal with them.  Good luck to you
