Is it a rash? Are you doing anything differently lately? You should ask your doctor. He can give you a prescription cream that may ease the pain.

No rash, just red like sunburn....

I don't know if it could be shingles or not but what you are describing is similar to shingles. I think your best bet would be to check with your doctor!
