That's a question you really need to ask a doctor. There are many kinds of hypertensive medications, and the effects may very well depend on the type of drug. Some may be harmless. Others may be very dangerous.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
