I asked what the difference was? By the Vietnam War they were round. What was the improvement?

the pineapple hand grenade is no longer in use because it's like throwing a football and trying to put it in a certain place. it's know to bounce away from the place you need it and even come back to the person who threw it. the newer grenades are round and are easier to throw and more accurate.
