hi i got brown hair that is wavy and frizzy i want to get highlights never had them before what color would be good to go with i dont want it to look way out their but i want it to be noticeable and how can i get rind of the frizz can anybody help me out on this

for your highlights i would do a very light blonde even low lights might look very well..

if your hair is very frizzy use coconut oil once a week and leave it in over night but use it sparingly..

you can buy coconut oil in most pharmacies...

I have always believed that a golden blonde or a blonde looked good on brown hair. You are right about making it too out there natural is better. However; if you are worried about having frizzy hair it will only get more drier and frizzier with highlights. Cause highlights dry hair more that regular dye. If you decide to do it, then make sure to get some leave in conditioner and whatever conditioning products you like and use that everyday to control the frizziness. And dont blowdry everyday. After you shower I usually wait about 10 min then add my fav leave in treatment, then seperate my curls and waves with my fingers and scrunch a little then allow it to air dry. If you must blow dry use a diffuser but dont flip hair this will cause frizziness! Hope you have fun styling! Laughing

If your hair color is a light brown, I would go with golden highlights (level 6 or above). If your hair color is medium or dark brown (level 5 or below), stay with an auburn shade. Light brown tends to pull blonde highlights naturally and red highlights are naturally in medium/dark brown hair. Trust me, I have medium brown hair and going with golden highlights was a BIG mistake. Putting golden highlights on medium/dark hair (natural red highlights) will make your hair brassy. Hope this helps you out. A good shade for browns is a chestnut color. Don't go too light or dark if you have fair skin. It will wash you out. If you have an olive skin tone, stay with the auburn tones. If you have more pink to your skin, stay with ash browns. People with ivory skin can pull off almost any color as long as it's not black. It will make you look like a ghost.
