I am 68 years old and my hair has been thinning for the past 7/8 years. I do not abuse my hair. I had been to a few doctors & they said there is nothing that can be done. more so in the front temples. I had a beautiful head of hair.can anything be done thank you Roberta

First of all I'm very sorry to hear that, it must be tough....I don't think there's a medical solution for that besides hair transplantation, that can be expensive.  If that's not an option for you, you might consider solutions like finding a hair style/cut that helps hide your temples (maybe bangs or something similar), and for the thining, there are hair extensions that are specifically made to add volume, so you can try those (they can be glued, clipped or braided in...ask about them at a salon and also ask if the braided ones can cause damage, 'cause it looks like they might....but I think the other types, especially the clip-ons, can be right for you, and at the salon they can cut them, dye them and style them so they look just like your hair).

Oh! and also, I've heard prenatal vitamins help hair grow stronger.  This won't help restore the lost hair, but it'll strengthen you hair and it might slow down the hair loss.
