Reddish, never once in all of human history has a disarmed society been a peaceful or sustainable society.  When people cannot defend their very lives in their homes, it is because some gang of genocidal creeps disarmed them specifically to eliminate them.

That is the only function that history has ever shown for disarming law-abiding citizens, and that is why a genocidal Kenyan named Obama wants to diosarm "whitey" so that street gangs will become all-powerful and rule society with absolute impunity.

The maniacal hysteria of Obamites proves that they are too immoral ever to learn the ways of reason.  All that they can do is scream that anyopne who opposes their Kenyan-born god is a "racist."

Because Obama is a sworn Black Panther, like his mentor Jeremiah Wright, your children now live at the beck and call of Obamites and their racist hypocrisy.

RocMike,
Thank you.  I had very much doubted anyone would be able to answer my question.  Did you hear about Australia after they removed guns and every crime went up.  I could go on forever, just really wondering why people think gun control is a good idea.  But I've yet to meet anyone who can prove its not one of the worst ideas ever.  (And I've debated this issue through high school and college and even more now)  Take care and good luck with the next 4 years.  Though I think he cant get this economy going and the unemployment rate lowered he'll be gone and no more Obama

If the insane out number the sane, then the sane will be in the insane asulyms

I agree with above statements.  Gun elimination applies only to the lawful people that will give them up.  The criminals "all of them" still have their guns!  Florida is probably hands down the best example on the planet for a pro-gun argument.  Our crime is down and our gun permits are on the rise.  Correlation----the bad guys dont know if we have a gun or not so they choose not to try us!!  The laws are also written here as best they can be to protect the innocent in defending themselves instead of being written liberally to protect the offender.

I will go one step deeper, any gun control is bad.  Reason--the lawful do not need laws to be lawful.  Criminals will not adhere to law regardless of how strictly they are written.

Writing more laws is a complete and utter waste of time.  there are enough laws on the books now to last forever more.

Per Reddish80:

Did you hear about Australia after they removed guns and every crime went up.  I could go on forever, just really wondering why people think gun control is a good idea.

The citizens of Kennesaw, Ga., readily concur.  They enacted a law requiring every home to be armed, whic cut violent crime to an all time low, and non-violent crime even lower.  It became a law-abiding community, people went to town with open holsters to show their fancy sidearms, and hunters ceased getting rocks through their car windows.

That is WHY every leftist liberal writer in the nation blackballed reports of their success and went absolutely hysterical that "America the violent is awash with guns . . .."  That proves the fact that leftists are your most stubborn and brainwashed enemies.

Treat them the way they treat you.

Increasing Number of States Declaring Sovereignty

Back in December, the Wall Street Journal had a good chuckle over Russian academic Igor Panarin’s prediction that the United States would break apart by 2010. Using threadbare Cold War logic, Andrew Osborn wrote that Panarin’s forecast “is music to the ears of the Kremlin, which in recent years has blamed Washington for everything from instability in the Middle East to the global financial crisis.” For the WSL scribe, Panarin’s analysis is about the Red Bear “returning to its rightful place on the world stage after the weakness of the 1990s, when many feared that the country would go economically and politically bankrupt and break into separate territories.” featured-stories - Increasing Number of States Declaring Sovereignty     1942       The Constitution and the Bill of Rights were nullified many years ago, at least since the emergence of the Federalists under Alexander Hamilton.
In fact, it was not so much “weakness” that destroyed Russia as it was the IMF, the World Bank, and Wall Street, in other words it was another bankster looting and fire sale scheme that brought the former Soviet Union down, not that we should expect the Wall Street Journal to admit as much. Ditto the current “global financial crisis” and instability in the Middle East.
“Mr. Panarin posits, in brief, that mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will trigger a civil war next fall and the collapse of the dollar,” Osborn summarizes. “Around the end of June 2010, or early July, he says, the U.S. will break into six pieces — with Alaska reverting to Russian control.”

In the case of a growing number of U.S. states, however, it is not so much economic decline and moral degradation pointing the way to a “disintegration,” but rather violations of the Tenth Amendment. The Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791, and states restates the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states and to the people. It is based on an earlier provision of the Articles of Confederation: “Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled.”
Although Fox News and CNN are not telling you about it, a growing number of states are declaring sovereignty. Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, and Georgia have all introduced bills and resolutions declaring sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment. Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering such measures.

Dawg, you know how to scare people, and I don't scare easily.  The Bills you cite are an ultimatum of independence: nothing less than secession from the United States.  The last time that happened was at a little known place called Bull Run and it didn't end until Appomatox.

The fear I had earlier that secession was possible has become an unnerving reality.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but when sitting State Legislatures do this madness, they mean it.
