Does green tea loose it's antioxidants when decaffeinated?

Yes,decaffienated green teas does have less benefit than regular green tea. The amount of natural caffiene in green tea is much less than sodas or coffee.

Yes, when tea is decaffeinated, it not only loses the caffeine but it loses chemicals across the board, which includes both antioxidants and flavor.  You can read more about decaffeination on a page I have put together about decaf tea.

I take green tea supplements and drink green tea. Whenever I do, my metabolism speeds right up and if I eat something, I have to go to the bathroom right after because the green tea helps your body not hold onto excess fats from the food. I love green tea supplements as well as the tea. It gives me so much energy as well !
