If you would have friends, be friendly.  Good social adjustment means that you have decided to treat others as you would have them treat you: e.g. The Golden Rule.

  1. Be loyal.  It is a privilege to have friends, so take as good care of your friends as you want them to take care of you.
  2. Value your friends.  Let them know that you consider them special.
  3. Be fair.  The world can be full of injustice (some people are deliberate purveyors of injustice) but that is no reason to pass injustices on.
  4. Be patient.  Everyone has an off day now and then.
  5. Be kind.  A little forgiveness goes a long way.
  6. Be reverent.  Others have their personal beliefs as you do.  Respect their beliefs even if they will not respect yours.
  7. Be there.  People sometimes need a soft shoulder to cry on.
  8. Be polite.  Grating on other peoples' nerves is the nastiest way to live.

There is much more to having friends, but that will get you started.

We learn from history that we learn nothing from history: those who refuse to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

Tadpole, are all atheists as nasty as you are?  Or did you have to take stupid pills just to get it down pat?

Stan my man, that is the way to treat people.  Atheists always do the opposite cause they are just plain evil like Tadpole over there but that is why atheists got no friends and ain't gonna make any.
