GPS does nothing when I click NAVIGATION

Why does nothing happen when I click on NAVIGATION on my portable GPS system? This has been happening ever since I accidently erased the maps on my SD card. I copied the maps back on the card from a disk, and I still get nothing.

Kilometers vs. miles I'm answering my own question. Just bought a new Garmin Nuvi 780 GPS. It has a miles or kilometres feature that allows my directions to be in KM instead of miles. It's handy as all signs and directions in Canada are in KMs instead of miles.
