Does the post office (USPS) receive any tax money?

Of course.  It's the federal government and the way they obtain money to pay their bills is thru taxes.

 

Sometimes we put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

I say hello rows of Taxes I know they're killing me,
No one can e'er escape her,
No body, no not  me.
I cried so when I paid her,
It like to break my heart,
And when I finally die, y'all
The death tax gets my part.

I was going to mail this, but it would have cost another 44 cents.

Every penny they get is our tax money.  If they quit delivering packages and just did first class mail they could make a profit . and let UPS and Fed Ex do what they do better than the post office can and everyone makes money.
