Can goldfishes really grow to be at least 7 inches wide?

I can't believe it; according to the web, a common, 13 cent goldfish can grow to be so big! But, I basically never see any pictures of a goldfish that big!

So is it true, and can you guys send me a picture of one that big? (Remember, I'm referring to those super cheap common goldfish sold for like 10 to 20 cents in pet stores)

Look its as easy as pie. The male fish is just ready to start breeding. Therefor he starts to get these purple spots on him to show the others that he is ready to breed. It could also maybe be some type of illness that he might have. I would want to see the fish for my own oppinion of how he looks.
