Taxes are probably going up.  There are two ballot propositions on the November ballot to raise income taxes, 30 and 38; if both pass, the one with the higher number of votes wins.  Proposition 38 would raise taxes for most people; proposition 30, only the higher income brackets.  Cities are considering raising sales tax.
