God speaks to people today just as he spoke to people of ancient times.  In

The Bible, God reveals himself as having much to say to humanity and He

literally allows mankind to learn more about Him and who He is gradually over

time or in an instant.  Salvation happens in an instant, but sanctification

or perfect living happens over a long period of time.  That can only come

about by close relationship with God, studying His word and praying.
