I answered a

very similar question recently and I don't think I have anything to add to my answer.

You can make sure that you are up to date on the latest technology....whether that means buying a Toyota Prius, moving into a solar home, or reading up on websites about the specifics of what you can do in your

home.   This is really awesome website that you'll want to check out.  It gives a lot of details of things you can do.  I think that the good thing is that you are just one of many now who are very concerned now about global warming.  I think that our world will be OK as long as people like you continue to ask these questions and do all they can.
I wouldn't wanna be in a club that wouldn't let me in...

XXXXX,

Probably the most important thing you can do is to stay vocal about the things that you believe will help the world. Don't just let things happen, make things happen! That's why we named our company what we did. If you think plastic bags are bad for the enviroment, stop using them and get a reusable shopping bag. If you think that cars' emissions are bad for the environment, ride a bike or walk or take public transportation somewhere.

Obviously, we want you to check out our website STAYVOCAL.COM, but please check out our good friends at New American Dream.

Thanks.

Make Yourself Heard

Pray-- I really believe in the power of prayer.  I think it really might be a spiritual movement; fighting against, fighting for... denial of responsibility thinking oh, if I change all my lightbulbs, that is enough? read.

derrick Jensen, read about peak oil, read about MountainTop Removal coal mining, burning the future, http://www.ilovemountains.org, read the notices and write the newspaper and continue to speak out and speak up and get off the grid; turn off the lights- especially at peak hours, stop driving around, stop shopping, stop eating fast food, stop watching tv, stop drinking beer.

Start spending time with your children, teaching them values of love and respect for nature and themselves, as one, work less, spend more time outside, celebrate every moment by being present, teach your children how to grow there own food and how to purify water with fungi.  Teach them how to conserve, how to construct a composting toilet and humanure bin, how to locate and procure essential items in our society.  Ensure they have high ground within three hours of whereever you live- by foot.

that's what I do.  and pray.  I pray for sharks and elephants, forests, springs and all the people on the planet.
