I am 26 years old and i have regular periods. I mean- every month- never fail-27-28 day periods. For the past six months. my periods have been awful. Around the second or third day, i have terrible cramps which leads to diarrhea and vomiting. I am in bed all day long and cannot work. I have been off birth control for approximately 3 years and have unprotected sex regularly with my fiance. This month, i was expecting my period to start on 8/13/10. Nothing. i continued to wait. Nothing. this past weekend, 8/20-8/21 I had slight cramping, mood swings, crying spells, weird smells/tastes, and could not eat normally, but no bleeding. SI took a pregnancy test on 8/20/10 and it was negative. So, i woke in the middle of the night with cramping- it went away. I got up this morning with cramping (very little blood) and started with the diarreah and vomiting. I've been in bed all day long. I have had severe cramping all day long and tiny blood clots here and there. It feels like a normal period- but usually I would be bleeding more and i am approx. 2 weeks late. I have no idea what is going on and I am wondering if anyone has some feedback? Thank you for your help!

I am not sure what's going on this month but your other monthly symptoms until this month sound like endometriosis. I would discuss it with your OB/Gyn they can run some tests and see if that's what the problem is.

possibilities are - PID or Ectopic Pregnancy - check in sections VAGINAL INFECTIONS and PREGNANCY - and exclude endometriosis in section HORMONAL DYSFUNCTIONS:
