Thanks, good input, still hoping to hear from an owner as to any diminishing returns.

The underground does stay nearly the same temperature year round, making it a good heat/cool sink both directions, but I am guessing it only stays that temp because there is nothing carrying the heat away. Adding a heat exchange line in the ground would be exposing it to the cold or heat, as the case may be.
