What difference does marriage make..? two people decide to live together and share their life..a piece of paper only makes it legal so health ins and property can be shared and certain rights are alloted..Gay, Straight, Bi- racial what's the big deal? They are not doing any harm to anyone..let's concentrate on the issues at hand..like get our country back on it's feet...

Wow, harsh words! Personally I don't care if they get married or not.  I'm not against gays or for them.  It's a sexual preference.  I say go for it if that is what they choose.  I do think that more companies should give benefits (health insurance, etc.) to gay couples.

What difference does it even make?  I know of more gay couples than have been together for a long time than straight couples.  If they are happy with themselves, why should anyone else care?

I am not happy. Although I am pretty liberal, and  I have friends who are gay, I stlll believe that marriage is between a woman and a man, just like God intended. I think the morality in this country is going downhill. Whats next, making incest legal. That's the direction this country is going to. I am sad that I have to watch my young daughter grow up in this type of environment and that the minority is able to dictate what laws are passed because the majority that oppose it, are afraid to speak up for their beliefs. Just my opinion.
