I have a plant outside that I think is being eaten by what my sister says is some kind of worm. What can I use to get rid of this worm. My sister tells me that this type of worm does it's damage at night.

I need a lot more info, what kind of plant? What does the "damage" look like? Why does she think it's a worm ??

Hi Chris,

You've to specify what plants you have. You know, every crop has its own specific insect pests and diseases. Not unless you'll tell me what plant you've planted, we'll be hard-up in giving you the solution.

Generally, some worms that attacks during night time are called nocturnals, meaning they're active during the night. You can spray them with a systemic insecticides before sundown or before your night sleep.

But, as I've said, identify your plant first so that appropriate control measures can be initiated.

Happy gardening!

Get you some Diatomaceous Earth and sprinkle liberally on and around the plant (you have to repeat after each rain).  Diatomaceous Earth is not a poison, is safe for the environment, your plants,  and to use around pets.  It works by making tiny cuts in the worm which causes it to lose it's body fluids and die.  Regardless of what kind of worm is eating your plants or what kind of plant it is, this will probably get it.  You can find it at any hardware, Home Depot, or Lowes.
