How do i keep my ecm fuse from blowing on a 96 chevy 1500 truck

Hello, i had the same problem on my 90 suburban,  it had tturned out that the wiring harnass / connector to the ignition switch was not completelly seated.  the switch is located under the dash on the steering column.  good luck,   Ron
