is there any way to get assisiance in helping pay for funeral costs. friend was killed in l.a. by motorist. trying to bring body back to new york for proper funeral. can anyone help

Another thought is have the indidual cremated and his ashes sent to NY for burial.  This type of service would cost hundreds of dollars less than shipping his body back in a casket, and by air.
