Discuss Leagle's answer to: After becoming friends w/a homeless woman

Persons who have suffered homelessness have specific issues that need to be resolved, particularly in regaining trust with society that they feel has once turned its back on them.  That experience leaves deep psychological trauma that will not be resolved overnight.

It is best to realize that the formerly homeless have suffered unjustly, quite often were cast out of unprincipled or uncaring families because they held moral convictions that are above those of whoever controlled their former house, and other issues that become more complex as time goes on.

I have posted my opinion on AOL Answers as a public service. These opinions are not intended as legal guidance nor do they create a counsel-client relationship. I recommend that you also consult counsel where you have an actionable case or so have reason to believe. E. Carter, Esq.

I agree with you.  Unfortunately, we can't afford to support her in every way, let alone get her some counciling.
