Persons who have suffered homelessness have specific issues that need to be resolved, particularly in regaining trust with society that they feel has once turned its back on them. That experience leaves deep psychological trauma that will not be resolved overnight.
It is best to realize that the formerly homeless have suffered unjustly, quite often were cast out of unprincipled or uncaring families because they held moral convictions that are above those of whoever controlled their former house, and other issues that become more complex as time goes on.
I agree with you. Unfortunately, we can't afford to support her in every way, let alone get her some counciling.
