Why does my friend flirt with my husband?

Don't know but you best to find out and sooner than later.

My mother gave me good advice on many topics one was bringing women into your home she told me be careful because familiarity can bring disparity.

Some people flirt with pretty much anyone. They can't help it. It's who they are. The question is, is your husband flirting back? Some men, after a time of marriage, get hungry for that kind of attention, as do women.

Maybe you should ask her?

Flirting is fun, maybe she needs more fun in her life.  What you want to do, (if you love your husband) is see to it that he is not the one providing this friend with too much fun...

Don't think for one minute that your husband is not flattered that this person is flirting with him, because he is.  Sometimes it just feels good to be noticed by someone from the opposite sex.  We all need more love and affection than we actually get, so just be aware of the situation and don't "fall asleep at the wheel..." so to speak.

I don't think it matters why your friend is doing this.  What matters is that she is disrespecting you, your friendship, and your marriage.  Tell her once, under no circumstances is that acceptable and that if it happens again, your friendship is over.

As for your husband, it shouldn't matter what he's doing.  If he's doing something wrong to provoke this behavior, that's on him.  A real friend would not only NOT respond to your husband, she would address the problem by talking to you.

If it were me...I'd end the friendship.  None of my friends would ever behave that way under any circumstances, nor would I. 

There are millions of men in the world that are available.  Your friend needs to knock it off with the BS.
