Christian Law Association at http://www.christianlaw.org/ is an excellent place to search. The short answer is yes you can speak out on issues of the day. Seperation of Church and State was first recognized by the church as a neccessity, and does not just apply to issues convenient to those in opposition to the church. CLA helps churches ensure that their bilaws are written in such a way as to protect the church. CLA is always fighting to make sure that hate speach legislation or the likes does not slip in anything that limits the church's freedoms.
