Free energy and Zero Point Field

Free energy and Zero Point Field sound like interesting concepts, though I don't really understand them. Regarding Zero Point Field, do you mean to say that only if a system almost completely run out of energy, it could tap the free energy from the atmosphere or whatever? Is that correct?

Hey,

Zero Point Energy was described first by Einstein in 1913 (?) or 1903.

The way I understand it is that wherever you look, even if there is nothing there, there is energy.

So in deep space with Vacuum and temperature close or at absolute zero (-273,3 oC ) there still is energy, though the place seems to be deader than dead.

It has nothing to do with atmosphere or so, but yes, that would explain many perpetuum mobile phenomenons... there is more energy available than our blind science believes there can be according to the laws thermodynamics..

Hope this helps

I don't know that much about Zero Point Field, but I just finished installing a wind generator on a hill top where a friend just lost everything in the economic crunch... and someone gave him a mobile home, his dad had property with water already and so all that was needed was energy... all his energy comes from the wind... next summer, should the LORD tarry, I will help him install a solar collection system... both systems are relatively free after cost of the equipment and all from the atmosphere.

Hope this answer is helpful... Blessings on your search.  <{{{>< BRyan

Zero-point energy is a physicist's nightmare.  Let's go a little bit beyond where Hubbell and Guth left us in 1990.  The evidence of dimensional transfer comes as an element of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRB's).

These bursts come all over the sky at no set schedule, and physicists like yours unruly still argue what they could be.  The best conclusion that NUKER, Team Revelation, Team Wilson, and USC can devise is that we're talking about dimensional physics.

Researchers at Belatrosky Institute and University of Poland, Warsaw, have also been scratching their heads, and they have come paradoxically to within a few integrals of our calculations.  We have been eagerly comparing notes for a long time.

Zero-point can be considered a variant of Minkowski Space: SO(1,2) curvature.  Where it is not specifically a variant of de Sitter Space, the dynamics are quite intriguing.  Anti de Sitter Space adds a bit more insight, and we have seen a Nut Charge interaction with many GRB's.

Note that our density of space gives us one rate progression of events, denser space displays infinitely slower passage of events, looser space displays infinitely faster passage of events.  Space/time/energy differentials become a bit complex as we discuss Loop Quantum Gravity in the same context.

Note that GRB's display a "shock wave" effect as one would expect from a powerful nuclear explosion -- only the exhibit many times the energy expected from a supernova.  The difference is that most GRB's leave no nebula behind them to identify their location.  Note also that the shock wave can exceed C: the spherical shock wave moves, not the space inside the shock wave.  If it is superluminal, then we would not be able to detect it with light-detecting telescopes: however, they leave a unique variety of anisotropies behind that are most intriguing.

I hate to borrow trouble here but there is nothing in the laws of physics to prevent stellar shock waves from exceeding C.  Note also that in nuclear detonations, much of the energy is lost to compactification into a micro-massive black hole, that then transits to a variety of space-time in the inverse mechanism of a GRB. We therefore see yet another dimensional transition: denser matter entering a looser space/time has a "hot" reaction and looser matter entering a denser space sees a "cold" reaction.

Tapping energy from interdimensional transit of particles may be an intriguing notion, but until we figure a way to harness that infinite burst of energy, it would not be of much use to us.

Because of the uncertainty principle all physical systems, even at absolute zero temperature, have a zero-point energy that is greater than zero.

Zero-point energy is not strictly a function of Absolute Zero.  It is the energy present in mass when all the heat 9and other residual energy) has been removed.  We approach it when we study Bose-Einstein condensate.

It is very much a theoretical state although a number of scientists have done quite a bit of work.
