He was the Owner of the Southern Comfort Corporation (Consolidated) and Caligrapo, Inc. of St. Louis, distillers of the Southern Comfort brand of liqueur. The Fowler Museum of Cultural History @ the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is named for him, as well as the Fowler Foundation.
