Forgotten password but says account canceled when trying to reset. (Former Aol UK broadband customer)

My wife has forgotten her password but says account cancelled when trying to reset. I am a former Aol Uk broadband customer who has continued using the email service. My wife was using her email up until this morning but due to software problems had to re-install the email client, meaning the stored password has gone. The Aol forgotten password reset page says her account is cancelled!!! Please help!

Ps. It says mine is too when following the same procedure but I know my password

Please send an email to mailproduct@aol.com with the name, address, and phone number associated with the account, as well as a few guesses to the answer of the ASQ, and the username that is having problems.

Password reset for important account

I know all this... my issue is that I don't have that phone anymore, I deactivated the account that I used as my alternate email address AND the option to answer a security question does not show up. I've basically tried everything.
