Do certain foods really help build muscle mass? I thought only exercise would do that. What is the number one food to eat if I want to build muscle mass?

Good question, but yes certain foods do help more than other foods in building muscle mass.  Some good examples are foods that help boost your natural testosterone levels.  Things like: garlic, broccoli, eggs, cabbage, lean steak/beef, and oysters. 

Some of the reasons why these foods boost natural testosterone is because many contain large amounts of zinc.  Others help keep your body from turning testosterone into estrogen and testosterone is one of the main reasons for muscle growth.  Protein is another big reason why these foods help build muscle.  Enough protein is important in order to rebuild the muscles and recover from weight training.
