Hi Cosmo Girl,
Raw honey is also known as unpasteurized honey and it refers to honey that has not gone through any heating process.
Raw honey contains high potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, protein, carbohydrates and vitamin C. It is also a strong antibacterial agent, an excellent immunity builder and energy booster.
The color and taste can also be different from pasteurized honey.
You can read more about raw/unpasteurized honey here:
Raw honey is the honey on the comb. Plain honey is just when it is in the jar, bottle or other container without a comb. However, there are different types of honey and raw honey.I hope i helped. =)
primary difference between raw, organic and "regular" honey is the processing, which involves the use of a couple of fungicides/antibiotics. Raw, organic honey does not contain these fungicides, while processed honey often does. Also, raw honey contains more of the natural antioxidant and antibacterial properties than processed honey
Raw honey is unfiltered. It has a milky appearance containing the most nutritional value, unlike commercial honey. Honey can be used as a tasty additive to foods or drinks and is also used in health and beauty products.
Most ordinary honey is processed, meaning that it is heated so that it can fit through pipes and tubes during the packaging process. Raw honey is unpasteurized and has live enzymes in it. It is better to use raw honey if you are interested in taking advantage of its healing properties. Most of the health benefits are destroyed once exposed to extreme heat, as well occur during the pasteurizing process.
