What would cause a glass pan to explode?
My friend was cooking lamb in a glass pan in the oven, and the pan exploded, literally, in the oven! What would cause that to happen?
I had that happen to me once. It is upsetting. Not only is it a mess to clean up but you have wasted all your time cooking. I think the pan breaks because it is cheap glass and maybe has air bubbles in it. Always by good glass by good companies like Corning or Pyrex.
Sudden temperature change would be my guess.
