Does decaffeinated tea taste the same as normal tea?

Yes it does. And since tea has more caffeene than coffee I use it for iced tea. I drink a lot of iced tea and it would keep me up all night. The brand of tea is more important. I use Luzianne for iced tea. It really does make a difference. and go to www.mrcoffeeicedteamaker.org and get you an automatic maker so your tea will be consistant. Otherwise you almost need a stopwatch to hit that fine line between being too weak or bitter.

No: any serious tea drinker will testify that decaffeinated tea absolutely does not taste as good as normal tea.  You can read more about why on this page about decaffeinated tea.

Quick explanation of why: the decaffeination process removes much of the flavor.

I personally recommend to avoid drinking decaf tea, and instead drink naturally caffeine-free herbal teas whenever you want a tea-like beverage but don't want any caffeine in your system.
