Do you like to bake? I am probably the world's worst baker so I do not bake often. It's funny though, my daughter wants to be a professional pastry chef when she gets out of high school. She is planning on going to culinary arts college in NYC and then on to NYU for her business degree. How can a mother and daughter be so different?

I love baking. I just don't do much. Not much fun when you're only cooking for one.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

Well, you know how they say that every pregnancy is different and every woman's birth experiences are different? Of course, you realize that every child is her own person. I hope she follows her dream, and you sound like you are encouraging her. I am a mom of 4 daughters, and I'm happy to see that all of them bake well, surpassing me in their attempts to add new (more modern) recipes to their repertoires. You'll be eating delicious treats as your daughter becomes a better baker!
