What type of flooring is best to resist dog urine odors setting in. Dogs live in room with elderly Father who often forgets to get dogs out or let us know clean up is needed
Finished concrete, linoleum, tile with sealed grout, and possibly dirt. And not in that order. I wouldn't touch carpet or wood with a ten foot pole, or a five foot Doberman.
How about a doggie door so Fido can let himself in and out? They are fairly inexpensive and easy to install. You may have to lure him in and out the first few times with a rib eye or fillet, but once he gets the hang of it, there will be no stopping him. Come to think of it, you might want to use cheap weenies and keep the steak for yourself.
And whatever floor application that you wind up with, get a product that is designed to neutralize nasty smells and use it, even if the floor is non-porous.
Thanks. Very Helpful. Sort of confirmed my thoughts, but good to have a confirmation
