In order to get a remote to work through a wall, it would have to be UHF compatible. To find out if your remote is, on the back of it at the top will be a model ID and it will either say IR or IR/UHF. If it shows UHF then it can work through walls once programmed. I have included the steps below!

TV1 to UHF:

1. Enter the Main Menu.

2. Select System Setup > Installation > TV1 UHF Pro Setup. Select "Enable"

3. Select System Info and highlight the TV1 remote address box.

4. Put the TV1 UHF Pro key into the remote and press Record.

5. If a warning message pops up about the same address then readdress the remote to a different number. If the box changes from IR to UHF then everything changed correctly!
