Live bait: worms, minnows, crayfish, leeches, maggots, and meal worms.

Lures: spinners, spoons, minnow imitations, and jigs.

Synthetic bait: Powerbait, canned salmon eggs, marshmallows, cheese, and all other man made baits.

Hi Jason, I have not caught a lot of Rainbows but some off a boat using a Panter Martin lure reel. They bite but maybe a worm or some power bait could also attract them.. Oftem times tried to be an ecologist will help by making a good guess of the what the flies and/or little fish look like in the region fro them to predate.. Im not sure though and maybe the best way is looking at the stomach contents.. GL
