One place you might want to try is the San Carlos Reservoir. Read what others had to say about this location.

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

The Gila and San Pedro rivers are there, you can fish for channel catfish, flathead catfish and mud cats there. Also perch, carp, and buffalo. There are some other species passing through this area. There should be plenty of peaceful fishing and beautiful scenery around this area. You caneven email me some pics of what you catch. gary at gonefishinclub.com.

There is a bait store in Globe, it's about 40 miles away but dependening on what route you are traveling may be on your way.

 It is Killmer's Kountry Store, it's on Hwy 88, in Globe, Az, 85501 or you can call them at 928-425-0700. They are very nice and helpful. They stock a full assortment of baits incluing waterdogs, minnows, several kinds of worms and many other choices.
