When I am fishing I like to use plugs. However, I have a lot of trouble keeping the plug's treble hooks from getting tangled up with other plugs and rods. What is the best way to place rods with plugs next to each other without getting all the tangles? Bill

Use hook bonnets on the hooks.  You can get them from Cabela's, or numerous other sources.  I believe Bass Pro Shops is running a sale on them currently.  Best of luck and good fishin'.

You can actually make you own bonnets also, some nylon cloth and velcro and your in business !

Lots of times, I just put small rubber bands around the treble hooks and have a little piece of 1 pound monofilament running between each of the bands on each of the hooks, so when the fish hits and the bands come off, you still have the bands and nothing in the water will eat them.

There arw weedless treble hooks out there too.  They have a tiny light weight spring that cradles the barbs so nothing but a fish would depress the springs and get hooked.  Supposedly it will keep the hooks from picking up weeds.  They also allow the fish to detect the hook and that is one fish you are never going to land.

If your reel is new, or almost new, you probably need new line. As braided line is used, the coating wears away, and friction between the line and the bail increases. When that happens, the line may not glide over the bail to fully seat on the roller. This is only my opinion, I think monofilament ...

Do fish bite when it is raining?

I CAN DO BETTER ! Fish ARE affected by the rain. Not so much the rain but the barometric pressure that comes with it. All fish have whats called a "center line." This line runs from head to tail, basically the spine of the fish. This area of the fish is extremely sensitive to its surroundings ...
