You need to consult an honest, free, business consultant immediately.  Do not pay a financial consultant upfront.  Call the closest Small Businees Administration office (SBA) and ask for a free consultant.  Meet in person, come prepared with documentation.  If you business is going under, it may be because of mismanagement, not uncontrollable outside forces.  If you decide to sell the business, it will only have value BEFORE it's hopeless.  Unless your business requires your personal involvement, get a paying job, one that will bring in cash for the household.  If your mate is unemployed, have him/her do the childcare while you are out working.  Your business experience may be valuable to your competitors, and they may be willing to hire you. Meanwhile, think of your apartment as an opportunity to control your finances.  You are no longer responsible for mortgages, taxes, fire insurance, utilities on a house.  You know what you need to keep a roof over your family's heads.  Make a budget, find a job that pays, even if it's not exactly what you want. And, see that SBA consultant !
