Discuss artist61's answer to: Why would you be best recipient of the money?

Lately I have spent considerable time online, having been recently introduced to Yedda. I see legitimate people in need and we possess wealth beyond measure. If successful in assisting others in ...

Dearest Wise Mom: I am retired on disability, and my husband is retired from his work with the state from which we live.  My husband has had open heart surgery and several stints in an effort to have some quality of life.  Our income is limited, and though not desperate, we are in financial straits.  I realize that it is past the date you noted in your post, but I have just seen it.  If we were able to have our mortgage debt, we would be able to save funds from our income with which to pay off our other debts, and to save for care for the remainder of our lives.  Additionally, we would be able to tithe to our church, which to date, we have been unable to do.  As we continue to grow older, and with the nation going in the direction it is going, I fear that my husband and I will be unable to keep our home or pay for medicine that both he and I need.  Neither he nor I are able to work to bring in any supplemental income, nor do we have any type of retirement set up except that which we receive from the state.  I am not saying that we are the most needy of any you might have heard from, but it would truly be a blessing to us, and we would be most grateful if you could find it in your heart to consider us as one of your recipients; if not now, at some point in the near future.  May God truly bless you for your kind and gracious spirit and willingness to give to others.  I only wish we were in a position to do the same, and if given the opportunity, will certainly do so.

My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands in your heart; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.
