Though you are using different terminology, I am pre-supposing that you are referring to fibromyalgia, which BTW is different than Chronic Pain Syndrome.

Blood tests for Fibromyalgia will not illustrate anything unusual, rather it is diagnosed by testing 18 various pressure points on joints and muscles throughout the body. If a person tests positive for pain on 11/18 (or more) they are considered to be positive for the condition.

Recent research has found that very often, Fibromyalgia is related to a Thyroid disorder or to a generalized sleep disorder, and both possibilities should be checked.  The condition is more often found in women than in men.

Mild exercise is recommended, without arriving at a point of unbearable fatigue. Start slow, and build up your tolerance over time.  Make sure that you get enough sleep, because the body does its best repair work during the delta phase of the sleep cycle.

As far as recommended vitamins, various studies have shown that the following will prove helpful in building up the strength and tolerance of your body: Evening Primrose Oil, Magnesium, A/E/C (with bioflavinoids), CoEznyme Q10, Acidophilus, Lecithin, Manganese *Consult with a local doctor to determine which is best for you.

As well, limit the nightshade family of foods (Caffein, Tomatoes, White potatoes, Eggplant,peppers), as well as foods high in saturated fat, or fried and processed food.

Chiropractic treatments can also help this condition, in combination with the work you do on your own. 

HI, I've never personally taking this supplement, but one of the girls in an old support group I was in mentioned something about taking it; from what I remember, she said she noticed a minute difference in overall pain, but found the supplement to be too costly to continue its use for no more result than she got. I take MSM, magnesium, a multi-vitamin, Lyrica, ultram, arthotec, cymbalta and ambien when I can afford them, but nothing works as good as the soma and percocet I used to be on two years ago. I wouldn't recommend narcotics as a starting point, and would use them only after all else failed. One thing for sure fibrose, when you have fibro, you're going to hurt. Mild to moderate exercise, or a lot of reasonable activity helps the soreness, but either way, its a constant struggle to try and keep things in check when you have fibromyalgia. One thing I've found that helps a lot is a heated gel pack made for fibromyalgia, but at the time, don't have it with me; I've used it a lot for the last five years and it helps lower the pain a lot and on a cold day, you can heat it up and go outside with a greater degree of comfort; the opposite is true in hot weather; cool it overnight in the refrigerator and you can tolerate some really hot weather for short periods much better. What I have found to help my fibromyalgia the most is Tylenol Arthritis and vitamin B-6. I take 2 Tylenol Arthritis and 1 vitamin B-6 everyother day or daily during flair ups.

FMS is beleived to be a disorder of teh central nervosu systedm-

while some people with Thyroid problems/vitamin deficiencies may have pain and fatigue-that does not mean tehy have Fibromyalgia-therefore

Thyroid treatmnent and vitamin supplements will not help real Fibromyalgia-which is what I believe about Fibrose

It didn't help much for me.  The best thing I find is excercise stretching and regular massage for Fibromyalgia
