Farmers hours are controlled by the sun, not the clock.

As mega coporations, the "farmers"( mostly billionaires) oppose DST because it is governmentally mandated, and doesn't add to their subsidies.. There is no other reason.

DST, does not save any daylight, its still light the exact hours, minutes and seconds within a 24 hour period!  Its a stupid change that makes no sense!

Although I don't care for the time change...it does make sense to me when you consider that very young children are going to school early in the mornings. They are walking to school or getting on school buses early and if the time didn't change it would be dark.  For their safety, I see the need for the clock to be turned back in the fall.

Yes, there are a lot of big companies that own farms but there are also family owned farms.  Those families have recognized for a long time that the animals on their farms do NOT recognize the change to daylight savings time at any time.  The animals go from sun up to sun down and that is all and they want to fed and taken care of at the SAME HOUR each and every day of the year no matter what.  Animals systems do NOT adjust in any way to the change in time.  Also even if the farmer doesn't have animals his work is still from sun up to sun down because crops don't recognize daylight savings time either.  The work on a farm has to be done or the rest of us are not going to get the food we want and need that is produced by those farmers.

Thanks Jada & Equus.  I hope I posted this in the right spot now.  Embarassed

Quite a few states have a Crop Damage law that allows a farmer/landowner to shoot animals doing crop damage or threatening your livelihood. ( i.e. Trampling down crops.) Farmers killed to make Hanford

The federal government acquired the land under its eminent domain authority and relocated some 1,500 residents of Hanford, White Bluffs, and nearby settlements, as well as the Wanapum and other tribes using the area. As far as I could find, no one was killed.

Learn to sell at your farmer's market

I really don't see how this has much to do with selling at the farmers market. As for learning over the internet or on line, I have never been able to do that without lots of trials and errors. I love new recipes but I am selective in what I try.Your idea might work and I wish you all the best.
