is it a good idea to let your child name your new baby? i dont want my little girl to feel left out when i have the new baby and this would make her more involved but what if i dont like the name? Has anyone got any experience of this situation that could help me at all?

How old is your child that may or may not help you with the baby names? I've done that with some of my god-children. (ages 5-11) We had fun coming up with names. If they sounded wrong or kind of uh, laugh about it. (lightly not a ka faw) It can be fun and somewhere you might come up with something together. Try asking them, what do you think of the name...........? That way they feel included.

My daughter was seven when I was expecting her brother. We asked her what she thought about a name so she read the first sign she saw.   Unleaded Gas.  We said No we can't name him that.

You could be very sorry.let her have some input ,but remember it is not her child it is yours
