A life partner is where you find them. It really makes no difference whether that's at church, on the street in front of your house, in your PolySci class or through a social network.

What matters is that the couple loves, trusts and respects each other enough to take the good with the bad and to communicate about all of it.

In other words, the 'where' is not nearly as important as the 'how.'

I agree with jkgrandma's excellent advice and would add this: if you do try to find a life partner through a social network, be totally honest and represent yourself well. Be polite and courteous and kind, especially if you meet someone whom you're not interested in. So many people meet online and have excellent long-term relationships. Good luck.
