Hi,

I grew up not knowing my mother. Supposedly she left me and my siblings soon after my birth.  But none of us believe it.  She loved us way to much. My father was severely abusive and we all feel that he caused her grave harm.  Without a trace. So if you are the "acting" daddy, and she believes that you're her real father... sometimes the we need to know, isn't really the case.  There's 2 sides to this tho.  Personally I feel that she has the right to know, and decide if she's interested in meeting or knowing him.  But to hold a secret that long, she could resent you if she finds out elsewhere.  I say, truth is the best.  She's old enough to make her choices.  Best of luck.
