I am not lucky enough to have any memorable moments with my grandparents. They all passed away before I was born. But I am pretty close to my parents and siblings.

Yes, I was fortunate to have a close relationship with my maternal grandparents, sitting on the front porch in the evening and listening to the stories they would make up to scare and entertain the children.  I was closer to my grandparents in that way and in the early childhood days than I was to my parents. My parents had to discipline us.  My grandparents were just for fun.

Yes, I have passed this closeness on to my grandchildren.  It would be impossible not to.  When you remember the fun you had and the deep love you had, you have to share it with your own children and grandchildren. It is only natural that you do so.

I'm very close to all of my family.  My parents raised us to be close to our grandparents, aunts, unlces, cousins, etc.  I remember tons of things about them all.  My most memorable with my grandparents are going to the local state park and taking hikes or looking at the trees.  Each of us kids had to do a leaf report and it was my gramps who took us out and collected the leaves and told us all about them.

I had memorable moments with my grandma because my grandpa died many years before I was born. The same can be said of my parents, we are really close and share even the little we have.

I had the most amazing grandmother, who lived until age 96. She taught me many life-lessons, including to stand tall, and treat my siblings kindly.

Now I am a grandmother and love my grandchild with unconditional love. I try to be a wonderful friend to her, and we have lots of jokes. She's 4 and when I asked her recently "what's the biggest word you know?" she said "environmental!"

nope not at all... *__* i never remembered anything good that they did for me...i only make myself happy

I adored my gramma and grampa Ballew. Grampa was a cowboy and raised quarter horses. Gramma was a world class cook. I spent as much time as I could with them and have lots and lots of good memories.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

I have dear and close memories of my grandparents, how they used to lock the doors . . . to keep me from getting out.  It was something about that restraining order that kept people like me from leaving school until just before it began.

I remember when my math teacher handed me a problem.  He said, "If it takes a hen and a half a day and a half to lay an egg and a half, how long would it take a rooster to hatch a brass doorknob into a hardware store?"

Well, in the second grade, I had trouble figuring things like that out, which was surprising because I was 28 at the time.

Then I said, "I give up."

The teacher looked at me and said, "So did the rooster."
