Everyone has some element of faith within themselves, though it may not be a "religious" type of Faith in God or in Krishna, but simply living day by day one has to have faith that their electricity will come back on, or that their grocery store will have foods for sale. Having faith in yourself is vital to being able to function in the world. Faith is a verb in that it is an action on the part of the individual. We have faith in our spouse and do not expect them to lie to us. We have faith that when rain is falling, it will eventually stop falling. We have faith that tomorrow morning the sun will still be up there in the sky....even if it is not visible in the rain...we know it is there. Why? We've seen it re-appear before and we've felt its warmth. Faith is something we all live within or else we would not be able to function. I have faith that when I click "post" this note will appear. Sometime, some of us end up with a "shattered faith," because a spouse has lied or the house burned before the electricity came back on, or we prayed for something or some event that did not happen. Shattered things take time to fix or heal, but they can be fixed, all is not lost when faith is shattered. That old sun will come out tomorrow...bet your bottom dollar...
