Which fairy tale do YOU find to be the scariest? Which would you NEVER read to your kids?

Oh my goodness, I never had any children but I don't think I would avoid reading any classic fairy tales. My sister and I read them all when we were little and I think she read them all to my nephew. And maybe it's better for a child to hear classic fairy tales than play violent video games or watch adult television shows?

When the grandkids come over (because Mom and Dad are at the point of a nervous breakdown if they don't get out of the house awhile) I like to read them things that I know will put them to sleep.

 

Let's start with the Manual for Courts-Martial . . ..

 

No, wait a minute.  That will scare critters like me out of a week's sleep!

If you want a substitute for Sominex, read them Obamacare.  I guarantee it is effective and it is NOT habit forming!

pat:  I had a whole collection of Disney movies, on VHS. Loved them! Some how, the movies were a lot more enchanting, than the stories...Although, I group up with those stories :)
