I don't believe there is a technological way to backup facebook contacts. We can just hope that the website remains running! If you are really concerned then you could copy down all of your contacts' emails to store in case of emergency. I'm sorry that for now, there is no easier way that I'm aware of. Good luck.

Hi guys, i wanted a way to backup my contacts and i came across this www.socialsafe.net. It's a miracle tool that allows me to backup my Contacts,Tagged Photos, Photo Albums & Profile Information. I really recommend it as not so long ago Facebook 'lost' my account, and this product saved me :-) .
