It is the act of using another person’s identity and posing as that person. Identity theft is usually carried out by thieves to open new lines of credit or to take out loans. Sometimes, illegal aliens commit identity theft so they can resume normal lives. They will be able to apply for a job, health insurances and buy houses or cars using a different person’s information. Identity theft is very prevalent these days and the best identity theft protection is to sign up for a monitoring service.
