I had a Golden Retriever. It is as expensive to feed him as any other dog of the same size. Golden Retrievers are great loving loyal strong playfull dogs but they eat whatever they see (papers, stones, woods, plastic bags.... etc). In that sense they are like vaccuum cleaners...... and it might be dangerous (for them).
